Distaula's good party, geeky fun, and upcoming things to do

Party

Mike Distaula somehow threw an excellent party. About thirty people showed up, we threw a flying disc (both inside and outside), some good music was played (and lots of bad music was played), and it lasted for six hours.

Programming

This party come immediately after a 30-hour hacking binge, during which many a fight broke out and much food was consumed. As of Tuesday, April 12th, at 4:30PM, I am done hacking on Carcassonne. Probably.

An outcome of this project is the yet-to-be-releaseed py-xexpr (I'll announce it when I release it). It is two Python modules (Read and Write) which provide XML as a native Python data structure, called an Xexpr (very similar to the Xexpr used in PLT).

Having gone from discussing a party to discussing programming shows that I need to split this Web log into three: parties, music, and programming. I'd love ideas on how to use my existing Blogger to do this (I don't know enough about things like Technorati to know that it will fix this; will it?), or some other service for each Web log, or any other idea.

Upcoming

  • Dick Dale, May 5th.
  • Allie Party, April 22nd. Tell your friends to tell their friends.
